| School (at least high school) is winding down for me. And I'm enjoying it.
For the first time, I felt great going to homeroom and not having to worry about the dreaded "Course Request Form"!

| "....it was the best of times, it was the worst of times"
That pretty much sums up the day. A nice start to the day, cool and clear. I was assigned to make power points. That was my job. Power pointing. Anyway, EVERYTHING went perfectly in the morning. the powerpoint was pretty good and we were jamming to tunes. Round 1 went virtually flawless and so did round 2, except for some calculus correction or something like that... Things started to look kinda shady when Roland couldn't get started on scoring scantron sheets due to the numerous disputes. Pics were still coming in, but at a slower clip. Chaos broke loose. At about 2:15, all the disputes got turned in. The awards ceremony started at 2:45. The slide show was to shown at 2:30.
crap.
We actually got started at about 3:05. Well, the slide show did anyway. We were still putting in names for the slide show, which I figured was semi-useless anyway. Nevertheless, things got worse.
Apparently there were side acts before the awards.....yeah. I guess they were kinda interesting.
OK So then we [like Kevin, Roland, Bryan, Hilary, Candace, myself, and maybe someone else.] printed out the standings for the sponsor's packets. Back to this in a bit.
In the auditorium, the award ceremony was underway. My logos were cut off, but w/e. Then for Theta Open, we had 20 ppl on stage for 15 trophies.....yeah very disappointing, especially for those 16th-20th place.
Another thing....ALL THE TROPHIES WERE THE SAME SIZE...like @ Stetson. And this was like the one thing that we were trying to avoid. gahh....
After the ceremony and most of the teams had left.......the sweepstakes standings were not stapled on with the rest of the packets. another problem....
So all in all a program with good intentions gone awry.
One ray of light was that I was proud of though was that the logo that I made for MAO state was chosen to be on the shirts.....yay me.

nevertheless, go see THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND! Great movie...some freaky/disgusting/sickening scenes, but excellent overall.
Forest Whitaker is the man.
